Print | CloseThe editors of NATURE’S BEST PHOTOGRAPHY magazine invite all photography enthusiasts to enter our new NATURE’S BEST Picture of the Week online competition. All winning images will be featured on the NATURE’S BEST PHOTOGRAPHY website for one week and will be considered for print publication in NATURE’S BEST PHOTOGRAPHY magazine and display in NATURE’S BEST PHOTOGRAPHY exhibits nationwide. In addition, all winners will receive a free one-year subscription to NATURE’S BEST PHOTOGRAPHY magazine.*
Entrants may submit up to 2 (two) photographs for consideration during each weekly competition. At this time there are no specific themes to adhere to, we are simply looking for your best images of nature, wildlife, landscapes, plant life, the underwater world, scenic locales, adventure travel, outdoor recreation, backyard habitats, and images highlighting environmental or conservation concerns. If your image contains captive animals or controlled conditions (such as images taken at a zoo, aquarium, wildlife sanctuaries, studio, etc) this must be clearly indicated in the description portion of the entry form. Images of pets and domesticated animals are not allowed for this competition. Subject matter of all photographs submitted for consideration must be suitable for all audiences. NATURE’S BEST PHOTOGRAPHY alone reserves the right to final determination regarding the eligibility of any photograph submitted for this competition.
Entrants must not infringe on the rights of any other photographer or person or submit images that involve the willful harassment of wildlife or damage to the environment by the photographer. All photographs should accurately reflect the subject matter as is appeared in the viewfinder. Nothing should be added to an image, and nothing should be taken away. Cropping and minor adjustments to color and contrast are acceptable, but no further manipulation of images is allowed. Photographers are free to submit images in an unlimited number of NATURE’S BEST Picture of the Week competitions in accordance with these guidelines. However, once an image wins in any NATURE’S BEST Picture of the Week competition it will no longer be eligible for entry in future NATURE’S BEST Picture of the Week competitions.
Photographs must be submitted as JPEGs with a file size of no more than 1 megabyte. Please size the image to 1024 pixels wide (for horizontal photos) or 768 pixels tall (for vertical photos) at 72 DPI.
Photos must be uploaded through the NATURE’S BEST Picture of the Week submission page. E-mail, post and walk-in entries will not be accepted. Simply fill out the entry form and follow the instructions to upload your image. Entries will be judged on technical quality, composition, originality, and artistic merit. Your entry to this competition constitutes your agreement to allow the publication of your submitted photographs on the NATURE’S BEST PHOTOGRAPHY website, in NATURE’S BEST PHOTOGRAPHY magazine, and used in connection with limited promotional use by NATURE’S BEST PHOTOGRAPHY, including but not limited to promotion of the NATURE’S BEST Picture of the Week competition. Entrants will retain ownership of their photographs.

* Winners will receive a free one-year USA subscription to NATURE’S BEST PHOTOGRAPHY magazine, for personal use or for use as a gift by the winning photographer. For international winners, a credit ($25 or the current USA one-year subscription cost, whichever is higher) will be applied to a non-USA subscription order placed by the winning photographer.
